Rayne Dakota Prescott, born on July 29, 1993, is a quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL. He played college football for the Mississippi State Bulldogs and was picked by the Cowboys in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL draft. Prescott is known for his high completion percentage and impressive passer rating.
Initially meant to be a backup in his first season, Prescott became the Cowboys’ starting quarterback when Tony Romo got injured before the season started. Despite being a rookie, Prescott led the Cowboys to the top seed in the National Football Conference (NFC) and set many records for rookie quarterbacks. This earned him the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
Since then, Prescott has led the Cowboys to three more division titles and has been selected to the Pro Bowl three times. In 2022, he was honored with the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award for his contributions both on and off the field.
